About Us:

Umbrella NPO was created by five caring board members, and opened their doors in January of 2010. Umbrella NPO is a Tempe, Arizona based non-profit. We are a new organization seeking to provide higher education scholarships to individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Higher education scholarships can range from trade schools, to community colleges, or to major universities. Students with an ASD often require special attention while in college, creating extra costs for the parents or guardians of these students. In an economic climate like today, we at Umbrella NPO feel helping these students reach their full potential through higher education is of the utmost importance.

We will be offering these scholarships to students in our home state first. We will only be offering scholarships to students in states that we hold our fundraising events. The first year, we will be holding events in Tempe, Flagstaff, Tucson and Prescott, Arizona. Hopefully, after the first year we will be holding other events in our neighboring states; which in turn, enables us to offer the scholarships outside of Arizona.  The First scholarship will be open for application in late 2010 and will be awarded in early 2011.
